MACON, Georgia– ASP – America’s Swimming Pool Company recently announced new owner Dan Griffin would take over ownership of the Johnson County, Kansas franchise. The franchise, which has been closed since October of 2015, is scheduled to reopen in March 2016.
“We are excited to reopen the Johnson County franchise and add Griffin to the ASP family,” said Stewart Vernon, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of ASP. “Griffin’s dedication to customer service and hard work will be beneficial as he builds up his swimming pool franchise. We expect great things from Griffin in 2016.”
Griffin was born and raised in Kansas City, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in fine arts and photography. Up until this point, his career has been in the media business where he gained experience selling advertising, working with weekly business publication the Kansas City Business Journal, and later the local paper, The Kansas City Star. Ready for a new adventure away from a cubicle, Griffin and his wife began searching for alternative opportunities and came across ASP.
Admittedly, Griffin had never considered how to start a pool cleaning service, but with the help of ASP, he knew it was a good opportunity for him. His experiences in the media industry helped him develop customer service skills, and a love for the small details; skills that will prove useful in his new endeavor. Griffin hopes to grow the business quickly and looks forward to building lasting relationships with his clients.
ASP is no stranger to quick growth. Founded in 2001 by Stewart Vernon of Macon, Georgia, ASP set out to fill the gaps Vernon saw in the swimming pool service industry. By offering a higher quality pool service at a price pool owners could afford, the ASP brand spread quickly and by 2005 the company began offering pool cleaning franchise opportunities. They currently operate in over 180 territories nationwide and have been named as America’s #1 Swimming Pool Company.
